Thomas Joseph Bepko, Jr.

Thomas Joseph Bepko, Jr., age 69, of Westport, passed on Monday, June 5, 2021. Born in Bridgeport to the late Thomas and Mary (McCarthy) Bepko, Thomas was a proud graduate of Fairfield Preparatory School and Fairfield University. Thomas pursued his Juris Doctorate Degree through George Mason University Law School. Shortly after his graduation, he was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1977. He would continue to practice in Virginia until moving to New York City to become a judge for the New York State Liquor Control Commission. Beyond his vast knowledge of his field, he was a history buff as well as a great lover of music.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Sally Virgulak of Pomona, NY; his son, Thomas J. Bepko, III and his wife, Lila Sussman Bepko, of Southport; two grandchildren Daniel and Cole Bepko; two sisters, Janet Effron and her husband, Wayne, of Greenwich, and Cynthia Caulfield and her husband, Don, of Milford; one brother, Daniel Bepko and his wife, Jayme, of Alpharetta, GA; as well as many nieces and nephews, Abigail, Lexi, Daniel, Matt, Shannon, and Jack.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 12:00pm in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service. Masks are required for those who are not vaccinated.
