Terence Armstrong

Terence “Terry” Armstrong, age 82, of Fairfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Originally from the Bronx, NY, Terry was a resident of Fairfield for 50 years.

In addition to his beloved wife of 52 years, Marie, Terry is survived by his son, Patrick (Melissa); his daughter, Eileen; his two cherished grandsons, Brayden and Mason; two sisters, Maureen (Ed) Dougherty and Betty (Charles) Roche as well as many cherished nephews and a niece.   He is predeceased by his two sons, Sean and Brian.

Terry held a very strong faith in God; he and his family were parishioners of Holy Family Church for several decades where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was the Past Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator of Knights of Colombus Assembly 118 and was named Knight of the Year in 2019. Terry had a great appreciation for history, specifically the Civil War. Everyone who met Terry knew of his great knowledge and expertise on this subject. Above all else, what Terry loved most was his family and time spent together.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 2-5pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11am at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford.
