Obituary
John P. Beggs, age 81, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Sara Beggs, passed away peacefully Sunday October 10, 2021. Born in Upper Sandusky, OH, he had been a Fairfield resident for over 50 years. Mr. Beggs taught Social Studies at Andrew Warde High School for many years prior to his retirement. He was loved and respected by all of his students throughout his career. Survivors in addition to his wife, Sara, include two beloved children, Stacey Haymon and her husband, Kris of Norwalk and David Beggs and his wife, Allison of Fairfield; two cherished granddaughters, Emily and Madeleine Beggs and three nieces. He was predeceased by his sister, Sue Quellhorst. A memorial service celebrating John’s life will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private.
