Jessie E. (Henderson) Scippa

Jessie E. Scippa, age 85, of Delray Beach, FL, beloved wife of Anthony L. Scippa, passed away suddenly on October 11, 2021 of heart failure.  Jessie was born in Bridgeport, CT on October 8th, 1936 to the late George and Elizabeth Henderson.  She graduated from Rodger Ludlowe High School and then graduated from The University of Bridgeport with an Associates Degree.  She then spent many years as an Executive Secretary for The Remington Arms Corporation. 

Jessie and Anthony lived in Fairfield, CT and then moved to Florida in 2004 where their daughter, Wendy lives.  Jessie enjoyed Golf, Bowling, Swimming, Cooking, Reading and taking walks on the Beach.  She was always the first to read of someplace new to go or something new to see and she always had a helpful suggestion to anything presented to her.  For the past twelve years Jessie has been of great support to her daughter who has been dealing with a serious health issue.  Jessie had a “never give up” attitude which has been so very helpful to her family during times of trouble…. and she always stayed positive.  She also had a great sense of humor!

All her care, help and support have been greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.  We love you so much Mom. 

She is survived by her Husband, Anthony and her Daughter, Wendy.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00pm at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford.
