James J. Sabre

James J. Sabre age 86 of Sanford, NC, formerly of Fairfield passed peacefully on October 12, 2021.   Jim was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 2, 1935, the son of the late Joseph & Rose (Antal) Sabre.  Jim worked for many years as a truck driver – B&D Trucking, Sabre Trucking, and Chevron Oil.  Hard work never stopped him.  He and his wife Barbara enjoyed their home in North Carolina and were avid NASCAR fans. 

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara (Sarnacki) Sabre, beloved son Christopher Sabre (Trish), brother Robert Sabre (Wendy), his loving niece Cheryl Lucvinko, and many loving cousins, friends and family members.   

Family and friends are invited for the visitation at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 10am-11am.  Burial will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield at 11:30am.
