Gloria María Rocío Molina passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2021 of natural causes. She was surrounded by her loved ones.

Gloria was born in Cuba in 1926 and was a sewing teacher until her marriage to Saturio Rocío in 1952. Theirs was a beautiful love story spanning 76 years.

Gloria emigrated to the United States from Cuba with her family in 1961. She and her husband, Saturio, settled first in Queens and then in Stamford and Miami Beach, finally living at the Greens in Wilton for the past 9 years.

Gloria is survived by her  3 children, Lourdes Eckstein, Marilyn Merola and Javier Rocío  and their spouses, whom she loved as her own- Phil, Ray and Liz, respectively. She also had  8 grandchildren: Tara, Corinne, Kimberly, Alena, Sarah, Alex, Nicky and Matt and two great grandsons- Oliver and Jack.

There will be a celebration of her life in the summer and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Nido de Esperanza in Washington Heights NY https://nidodeesperanzanyc.org/ because this organization helps babies and Gloria loved babies and children very much.
