Elizabeth (Betty) J. (Domonkos) Brown

Elizabeth (Betty) Brown, age 91, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Walter J. Brown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  Born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Stephen and Magdolna  Domonkos, she had been a Fairfield resident for the last 62 years.  Betty was a long-time employee of the Fairfield Public School System.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, attending Broadway shows, and her occasional trips to the casino.  She loved her trip to Hungary where she was able to discover her roots.  Betty will be sadly missed by her two children, Pamela Palko and her husband Nicholas Palko, Jr. of Milford and Glen Brown and his wife Diane of Fairfield; five loving grandchildren, Nicholas Palko, III, Heather Enright, Christopher Palko, Andrew Schieffer and Scott Schieffer; three cherished great-grandchildren, Grayson Enright, Nico Palko and Chloe Schieffer; a sister, Veronica Selwitz of Danbury and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield with the Rev. David Spollett officiating.  Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
