Dorothy L. Patterson

Dorothy L. Patterson, age 94, formerly of Stratford and recently of Shelton, passed peacefully the
afternoon of Monday, July 25, 2022. Dorothy was a woman of faith who regularly attended church,
carried her bible with her and loved spending time at the Black Rock Church Senior Club. Dorothy
enjoyed walks at Short Beach and Seaside Park and was very fond of animals. She loved eating out and
reading magazines especially articles about the financial markets and investments. Dorothy was a great
note taker and worked as an executive assistant for various companies. Dorothy loved filling her
calendar enjoying frequent trips to the hairdresser and shopping for clothes. Dorothy knew all the local
roads and often provided detailed instructions on how to get from place to place avoiding all highways.
She will be missed and remembered my many. Friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of
Dorothy’s Life on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 beginning at 1:30pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39
South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will directly follow the service at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740
