David Peter Calliari

David “Davey” Peter Calliari, age 59, of Norwalk, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born to David F. and Ida (Zafarana) Calliari on September 5, 1963. Davey resided at the Lower Fairfield Regional Center for many years; the staff here was truly his extended family. Davey loved swimming in the community pool, going out with his community on field trips, and had a passion for food of all kinds.

Davey is predeceased by his parents, David and Ida Calliari, as well as his infant brother, Louis. He is survived by his sister, Anne McKenzie Calliari;his nephews, William and Thomas McKenzie-Mastroianni, his niece, Danielle (Socrates) Jean-Francois; as well as his four great-nieces and nephews, Amarissa, Meliya, Socrates “SJ”, and Legend.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 4-6pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for David on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 11am at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Davey’s memory to Parents & Friends, Lower Fairfield Regional Center, 146 Silvermine Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850.
