February 26, 1924 ~ November 20, 2022 (age 98) 98 Years Old

Alice Knick Obituary

Our beautiful mother passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family after an amazing 98 years of life. Her children will always remember her as a devoted mother, gentle and patient.

Seventy-eight years ago, Alice married James Knick, whom she always called Jimmy. The couple began their married life in the Danbury area, where they made lifelong friendships.

They moved to Naugatuck, Allerton Farms, eventually settling in Fairfield where Alice was born and lived there for over 50 years.

A devoted Catholic, Mom took great comfort from her faith. Her pride and joy, especially in later years, was her grandchildren and her gardens.  Most of her daughters have followed in her footsteps, becoming avid gardeners.

We’ll remember Mom for her devotion, wit, and style. She is survived by her husband Jim, her eleven children, Bonney Lemkin (Jeffrey), James Knick, Jr., Karen Miller (Bruce), Kevin Knick (Peggy), Kathryn Parisi (David), Judith Tellone (Larry), Allison Menendez (Frank), Michael Knick, Mary Knick, Laurie Redston (Dave), Robert Knick (Joy); twenty-one grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.

Alice was predeceased by her brother John Bonney and her sisters Betty Benedict and Doris Moll. She is survived by her sister Anne Bonney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: St Jude Children's Hospital .
